I just looked at the Charger and was looking at the wire I replaced after the Blue Maxs wire fell apart. I looks like I have a bigger problem than bad wires.

I have seen a lot but never anything like this!

Wow..  Did you drop your sigarette down there?  ;)

cudaken

That is number 6 hole that blistered the paint.

Must have a big lean problem.

Refresher on the ill fated 440. Block is 30 under deck height. Blower manafolid was cut by a professional shop to fit the engine. But being cheap 41 Husk was able to get the high school machine shop to cut the cast iron intake. Well the kid's made a mistake and cut wrong. Teacher weld up the mistake and recut. One of the reason's it took so long.

I will double check the intake and gasket but I think I have a vacuum leak under the intake. Is there any way to check for a vacuum leak on the inside of the block?

Yep, that's hot!!!!!!!
The picture is hiding the No. 6 header tube and confused me a bit.
I'd still pull a couple of plugs and see what they look like.

I don't know that much, but it looks like the plug wire wore thorough its insulation, and was arcing against the inner fender.

Is there another factor that I'm not seeing?  I don't have much experience with big blocks.

cudaken

Rocky I wish, but would have arced to the header tupe.
