I spotted a challenger earlier today and came back and scouted it out later this afternoon. I didn't really get close cause I don't want to ruin my chances of possibly buying the car. I'm not too good with e bodies so maybe someone can tell what year it is by the pictures I took. The pictures are pretty bad cause I was trying to be fast and its covered up pretty good with trees. Its pretty far from the house and it doesn't appear that anyone is working on it. Heres the pic.

Your about the scouter. Good Luck. I spotted a plum crazy one in a carpot a month ago or so but nobody is ever home. It has so much dust on it you cant see through the windows.

Looks to be a '72 & up Challenger. I know where there is a Hemi Orange '70 Challenger in a garage litterally underneath about 2 feet of boxes and misc stuff near my girlfriend. The 2 car garage is so full of junk, the guy only has room for his Harley :rotz:

I say it's a mid 1972 year model, that pic is simply a dead give away.  :D   You can tell by the grille, the tail lights, the side markers, & I can see the build sheet under the carpet on the front passenger side floor where the carpet is worn. Only the corner is missing, the mice didn't get too far with it yet.

I'm curious as to how anyone can tell what year it is?   :shruggy:

I'm gonna say it's somewhere between '70 & '74. :nixon:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Would that not raise the odds of it being a 70 or 71?

:shruggy:  I have one on my 73!!

I've owned a `73 and it had a factory flat chrome style so that rules out the notion of bein' a `70-71 model......fact is it could be any one of the 5 year models. and everyone is just guessin'.   but since we're guessin'. . . I'd say `73-74 year model.  :D

I didn't even know they had a flat chrome style.  Was the chrome flip top one also available past 71?

2fast4u

`72-74 did not come factory with flip-top fuel doors!
