thinking in new tires

I have actually Dunlop SP Sport GT 255/60-15. They are still practically new, around 3K miles.

I was thinking on maybe get the same size or maybe 255/70 if I find down here... or 275/60 but dunno the brand. I'm trying to get best tires as posible to wet surfaces since I'll get suregrip what makes some dangerous on wet surfaces, so that's the reason why I'm trying to get better wet tires and similar top speed rate. I was thinking on Indy 500 tires what I like a lot and does look is better ranked on everything than my actuall tires but they are lower top speed rate. I like white letters tires.

I'm also searching the exact specs and rank for my tires, since I can't find them, just found the Dunlop GT Qualifiers ranking.

another option would be maybe 235/70 ?

My fav would it be 255/70 or 65 T or U speed rated ( H or V would be the best but a dream LOL ), good to wet surfaces and white letters

what are your opinions and options on market.

price is also something to think

Ok does look no more than T rated tires to medium/high profiles tires, just barelly low profiles ( 50 and less with 16 rims ).

I'm searching comparision tables between Indy 500s and Cooper Cobra

I have the cooper cobra 265/60/15's on my car.  I bought them on ebay.  They look good

I have the Indy 500's man are they sweet or what.:drool5: When the car was in washington state it handle great in the rain, :nana: they only have about maybe 1K on them but still. Now I am in Maryland and still handle great in this fine traffic with these stupid drivers around here. In the rear they are 275 70 15 I think(not sure)  and in the front 215 60 14. the fronts will be changing to 15's when the car is in the paint shop.

now what do you think about PIRELLI P5000 ? they are soft rubber so would stick better on wet surface ( thinking on suregrip ). Sure will worn out quick, but I'm thinking on safety. and they are higher speed Rated ( T instead S of Indys )

I don't like the unidirectional tread of that tire.  IMO, it won't function in rain or snow

Nacho-RT74

P5000s are unidirectional ? are you sure ? where did you read that ? normally unidirectional tires are not white or outlined white letters ( these ones are white outlined ) because if it was, then they should sell left and right side tires

They don't look sporty to me.  Is that the look that you want?

Nacho-RT74

WOW, searching and searching did found Pirellis 255/65 15 with H top speed 105 load !!! but not white letters... I'm thinking about!!!

Scorpions Zero model

why not look sporty ? they are same white outlined letters than Yokohama Avid and similars... notice the pic is on a non sport car mounted, so you need to think on that

I like the Scorpion model.  I'm looking at the Pirelli's again and I change my mind. I think they are sporty looking

Nacho-RT74

damn!!! if just they were white letters!!! maybe I can paint it :D

Scorpion zero is the only one above 200 Kmh rate I have found on 15 rims, and these ones are at least bigger diameter than the ones I have ( 28"s ) so more speed with less Rpms.

I have allways relationed europeans brands with safety on wet surfaces, and that's why I'm care about that and thinking on european tires

I got why you said they are unidirectional... you found P5000 Drago model and I was talking about P5000 Super Sport

I cam to the conclusion that they were unidirectional by the arrow on the side of the tire that is pointed to the direction of rotation.  You can buy a paint stick and paint the tire letters

Nacho-RT74

yeah, the ones you saw are directionals, but is a diff P5000 model than the ones I wanted to mean

what kind of paint is that ?

Nacho-RT74

wow, great!!!

but I still haven't found scorpions zero tires on 255/65 15 down here. Dealers I have found right now are out of stock

Editing:
This is funny actually I have found 5 dealers around who have them.

So guys, do you think is a good option ? is H speed rated, 105 load rate, 28"... and I have known they are REALLY GOOD to all 4 seasons, specially wet... wish opinions or experiences about Pirellis. I haven't seen them personally yet.

I will have to paint the letters to get the look

I personally wouldn't put the Pirellis on a musclecar.  If they are for a regular car, then I would.  If it fits your budget then go ahead

Nacho-RT74

I'm still thinking between:

P5000 super sport---255/60 T speed rated
Scorpion Zero ( they look really ugly on pics )---255/65 H speed rated  :o ( amazing for that tall tire )
Indy 500s---255/60... or 70 if I find... S speed rated
or stuck with my actual Dunlop SP Sport--- 255/60 what have just 3K miles... S speed rated.
