440 motor question

I'm thinking of ditching the 318 and buying a 440 motor and trans.  It is a '67 motor stamped c440 7-22.  Are 67 440 motors any good?  This one came off of a 1967 chrysler 300.  Would this also be a good fit on my 70 charger?

The 67 440 is a very good year because of the forged crank and the coveted 915 closed combustion chamber heads that have the ports like the 906 heads, they are probably "The" best factory wedge head excluding the Max wedge heads and I think the 300J head of the early 60's, some of the 915 heads had the small 1.60 exhaust valve which is easy to upgrade to a 1.74 valve, you can build this engine as quench motor pretty easy.

But too much information for me.
I have a 68 R/T 440 magnum that has 906 heads.  Does the previous reference to max wedge heads imply a totally different head design?
Are they from earlier hemi engines?  Are they still used now?  I have seen crate engines similar to mine and others that had max wedge in their title.

The Max Wedge program ran in the early 60's (62, 63, and 64) and it is not a Hemi.  It was superceded by the 426 Hemi and it is an RB wedge head engine like the 440.  The heads are unique to these super stock racing engines and have enough differences to make interchange with other wedges (like your 440) not quite as simple as bolting on and driving away.  They are used now but primarily by racers.  The crate engines are similar to yours and the 413 and 426 max wedge engines are, well, actually they are pretty similar too but without going into more detail this should answer your questions.
