SoCal-Cruisin For a Cure show

Sunny Southern California was actually raining on and off today...so about 1/3 of the cars did not show-trailer queens. Only a handful of Mopars in attendace. Quite a few "B" bodies, but only 3 Chargers. The 70 R/T was still owned by the original owner. I also met a guy from the netherlands restoring a 68 R/T. Overall, it was a nice show (eventhrough I did not win the 5.7 hemi or the Foose roadster) and a worthy cause-all money generated went for prostate cancer research at UCLA!

The 70 Challenger is a true "v" code 440+6, the guy bought it and and it shipped back to the US from Japan
The 71 is a Cuda clone with a 440+6

There was also a new charger club there with about 50 chargers/magnums in full force. The line of their cars goes all the way down to that white building....+ there was another line directly behind them equal in length.

I ran under one of their tarps to stay out of the rain when I first got there, nice guys who are really into their cars.

Yes, the rain was a bit of a bummer.  I am sure that the fund raising took a bit of an unexpected hit.  Here is what it looked like at 7:00 a.m.  Had 3 similar showers go through.  Still it was a lot of fun.

Wow, can't believe I missed those two: Cuda and Hemi Charger.

With the rain, people were coming in late in the day. The first time I saw the GL was when everyone was leaving!

The good thing about the low turnout, I got three of the Meguiar goody bags which were supposed to go to the first 1500 registrants.

The Cuda and Hemi Charger were over near the Fairview entry.  Almost missed them myself.  Went with my neighbor who was showing his Vette.  So was there early myself (6:00 a.m.)

The green 1970 Charger R/T is owned by James Hayes - very cool guy in our local car club.

The candy apple red cars belong to Larry (a member here)

The Black 63 Fury is owned by Rich Kyle (awesome guy)

and the 26,000 mile Superbird is an original 26,000 mile documented 440+6 superbird...    it is owned by Ken Funk....    a really high end mopar collector...    He also ownes a 1968 Hemi 4-speed Road Runner that was at the Spring Fling
