The lower 1/4 was rotted away and the entire panel had been replaced in the '80s then bondo'd over with what must've been a gallon of bondo.  It's part of my slow plan to return the car to all metal   The trunk just happens to match because I just bought it at carlisle.  Much nicer than my old one.
