Big Lebowski

The Muscle Car calendar folks found me at a local car show... :icon_smile_big:

"Let me explain something to you, um i am not Mr. Lebowski, you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the dude, so that's what you call me. That or his dudeness, or duder, or you know, el duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."

Mine was never in print, just in a TV commerical ;D

Have a copy of it but to dam dumb about the Keyboard Thingie to post it. Gateway Drag Strip home of Monster Mopar Weekend used it her in there summer TV ad campaign. Here is the funny part. When they called me, I had just pulled the 42sick that weekend and there was no engine in the 69 Charger Rusted / Trash. ;D Had to back the front hemi bars 15 turns and throw in a 100 pound 10 HP Aic Compressor to get it to sit level.

Next, I am not a Dukes Fan, but that is why the wanted my Charger ;D Lin called me at work and asked "do you have a General Lee"? Told her "No I have a General Grant". Boy she was confused of a few seconds while I explaied I have a 69 Charger Rusted / Trash with a black top painted Viper Red. Well they took her, stuck a 01 one on the door and she was on TV! Got a baseball cap out of it and a flat bed ride home.

Anyone here want to post the TV commerical, kind of cool. Was on the screen for a bout 20 seconds. And a Dasy Duke look a like was rubbing her. My favior part

My "Mistress" was in a commercial advertising for the first ever "Dukes Day Fest" in Little Rock, Arkansas, two years ago.  The gentleman who was heading up the festival, digitally enhanced an 01 on my door for the commercial.  It was really neat!

Lgcuda and I were at a car show in StCharles MO. about 10 years ago and a shoot from there was in a local monthly auto publication.  well they took pictures of all the cars.  I had the 70 Challenger vert with the top down.  The photographer ask if he can get these show girls in skimpy bikinis around my car.  Well, much to my wifes displeasure I said yes! They published pictures of both my Challenger and lgcuda's 73 Cuda.  I still have the mag, and occassionaly here from my wife how she gets yelled at for leaning on my cars but some stranger in a bikini can flop her greasy butt were ever she pleases with my permission :yesnod:

Mine made it into the PENTASTARS section of Mopar Muscle twice!  I sent in a picture and some dialog last year.  I think it was in the December or January issue.  Then surprisingly it showed up again in June or thereabouts with the same picture but a different header and story.  I think they screwed up.   Bob

Mine was in a movie, supposedly. It was originally called "Bloodhead", then the name was changed to "Creature From the Sunny Side Up Trailer Park." Don't know what happened to it, but it was made by Francis Ford Coppola's son and had Linda Carter from "Wonder Woman"in it.

Mine was featured in the Saturday Frederick News-Post Automotive section a few weeks ago I'm told. I've been out of the country since August and haven't seen it for myself. I'm looking forward to getting back in October and finally seeing it.

My blue car, (on end where they parked me) along with several others were the backdrop of a NW show @ Remlinger the first year in MCG & Mopar Action.  I can't find the scanned images now.  But both Rags used the same angle.

At the first Charger.Com meet several of us got ink +  pix of us showing up, in a local NW Publicatio.  I cant' find that now either.

This year at Sunbust was filmed, and they used my car as a backdrop when the dude was talking about the show cause there was a empty stall next to me.  There were 2 camera views.  Only problem the show is only viewed in California and Seattle.

I have A.D.D. tho, so I bought a crate Hemi.  I wanna be like Chris. :icon_smile_cool: :icon_smile_big:

My '70 R/T is currently on the cover of this month's Old Cars Price Guide!! It was also featured in MCG sometime back in '97. I'll have to get the exact dates for you guys. It was also in the Chrysler's @ Carlisle show program several times (does that count?). Back in the day, it was in  MoPerformance Magazine (remember THAT ONE? Pre-restoration, too!), and Muscle Cars magazine (also pre-resto).
My '68 Charger was also featured in an old issue of MoPerformance magazine when it still had the lowly 318 in it. They did an article on 68-70 Chargers, and it featured my car along with a '69, also a 318 car. This was back around '88 or so.
Sorry guys, I don't have a scanner. But, I'll try to dig up the issues with the dates. The Old Cars Price Guide should be on your newsstand right now! Just a heads up, some of the price quotes are waaaaay off. Even on the cover it lists a '70 Charger R/T in #1 condition at $42K. I've seen cars going for a lot more than that lately.

BTW Khyron, didn't I buy a blue Charger fender off you? Your car looks familiar!

My cars and I have been in the Detroit Free Press paper denouncing the new "Charger".

I have been in MCG multiple times talking about cars in the readers replies and Govier's articles.

I have also been in the local paper with a big picture of me and another guy in front of his Charger talking about the Charger meets I put on.

And once driving somewhere in the mauve '66 Charger I went past a video camera that was shooting the road and went back home and saw myself on the 6pm news when they were doing a story about people speeding down the road. lol

A swedish monthly magazin "Power", had an article on my -68 along with one -69 and one -70 a couple of years ago. The reporter saw my car at a cruising in another town and tracked me by the license plate, when he called me I told him I have two friends with a -69 and -70, and he thought it would be cool to do an article with all three of the second gen. (sorry bout the poor pic's, I'm not getting along with my scanner at the moment)!!!

I'm not sure...
I think you might have been just finishing up your car. I also bought a set of back-up lamp assemblies, one had a broken socket. His Charger looked EXACTLY like yours. The fender was a pale blue, with a 383 decal on it.

I'm not sure, but I know is was a quiet street with very small houses. The car was in a small, kinda rundown garage. I think it was lower NY state, if I'm not mistaken. He didn't mention anything about selling it, though. He was a member on this board, that's how I found the fender.
