i had a 440 standard bore but cleaned up, edelbrock performer RPM intake and carb, 906 heads, stock, 1 3/4 hooker headers, straight 3 inch exhaust dumping at the axle. 275/60/15 tires.. 4:11 gears. TCI 2800 stall converter. electronic ignition with accel super coil etc. doesn't sound TOO far off yours. i expected mid 13's it never got below 14.09. oohh if i had only had some drag radials...i was shocked with the slow time. of course my motor was a little more stock than yours.. and YES i know how to drag race i actually won the event that night against 32 competitors in the eliminations.. so don't hate with my 14.09 time. lol. all i'm saying is though it may feel like mid 12's, don't be shocked if it runs mid to high 13's

Mally, the BFG street tires will kill your short times....expect LOTS of wheelspin off the launch. It should go somewhere in the 13's if you can get it to hook.  ;)

Nice run!  Seems to be in line with my car.

what rpm where you shifting at?  I was running it real hard, I think i was shifting about 6600 rpm. I wanted to see what it would do , i had my foot into it to see what rpm it would nose over at, but it just kept pulling, but when it hit 6600, i chickened out and shifted.

Oh and i made a error my MPH was only 110

sounds like my ported heads where the big difference uptop

what gear ratio do you run ??

69charger2002

so if chris's ran a 13.55 and yours was just a touch slower in the numbers.. that makes for ABOUT a 13.70 run. i'd say you did good with that.. and it's very close to what i predicted   :nana:

Chris what are the specs on your car???

Just 6T9 CHGR

440 with approx 9.3:1 compression with 915 closed chambered heads, Engle K56 cam (224º duration with .504" lift), Edelbrock CH4B manifold, Holley vac Sec 750 with HP main body, stock HP manifolds with a full 2.5" Accurate LTD exhaust stock hemi mufflers, full manual reverse valvebody 727, 3.55 Sure-Grip rear, 255/60/15 RedLine radial tires.....wheww that was a mouthfull!

If I got better traction and was a bit more daring with my shift RPM's (shifted at 5500 max) I would hope to the in the low 13's possibly high 12's

Im hoping to make another track appearance this November at the F.A.S.T. race at Englishtown Raceway Park in NJ :drive:
