Door Window Chrome Trim Broken?

Is this broken?  How can I get this installed?  Do I need Weatherstrip Adhesive?

I used a black double stick tape to hold the trim to the glass. Put the tape on each side of the glass, then soaped the the tape and trim to install. You can buy the glass gaskit from any resto supplier and that is held-on with weatherstrip adhesive!
