Not sure, but I posted something that got zapped, then I said "where did my post go? I must have offended the Gestapo" or something to that effect...and comically enough, they proceed to further prove my point.....

I know the rules of engagement over at Moparts, but the one thing I never understood, was the deletion of posts, topics, & people, without explanation. I would rather see a topic locked, like here, than to go back later to read something that isn't there. You can spend a lot of wasted time hunting for it.  ::)

As for Ponch, If I had a message board, I'd build in a feature to ban him just as he's about to post in a thread just to irritate him, then let him back in 5 minutes later.  :D

It's like the Ministry of Truth in "1984". Posts and people disappear, and they act as if they never existed. The funny thing is that i still can go on there if I use internet explorer or another browser...I just don't bother with it.

Actually Tom the owner of Moparts is a real nice guy. I chatted with him for a while at the mopar show this past Sunday. At the beginning of the year he un-banned a majority of the members who were banned.
Unfortunately there are several mods who seem to have their own agenda. After letting Dart Girl become a mod you have to wonder about the screening process.

I've talked to Tom at several shows up at Lebanon Valley and at XV back in June.   He's a swell guy.
I can't say that about all the mods or all the post whores on the site tho.   I've seen some of them but I can't say I've ever said hi at any of the events like E-town to anybody except Tom.

Some subjects are just taboo...  and should be.    There's plenty of places for people to go blast their opinions about everybody elses poltics, religeon, etc. blah blah.    Plenty of bad blood there AND here from before.

My basic problem is that I have known moparts is a family friendly site but I don't believe the content should be limited to what some hilljerk lets his 8 year old kids see on the internet.   I've read that on moparts plenty of times about a certain individual that complains if the content isn't friendly for his kid.

I basically think this and other car sites are and should be at least PG13 - if not R.    Parents should police their kids internet access just like what they watch on TV and it's their problem... not mine.

Dart Girl lasted less than a month as a mod. She was banning anyone that she disagreed with. It was kinda funny, as soon as I got home from work i'd jump onto mopart's to veiw the carnage.

The show was great, I posted pics in the general section.

Reminds me of WKRP when Dr. Johnny Fever was once the #1 DJ in Los Angeles.  Then he said the word "booger" on-air.  Thus began the years-long downward slide into oblivion and ultimately WKRP.

I have no idea how that could have happened....... :shruggy:

For as tightly censored as moparts is, the part that doesn't make sense is the bickering that's put up with and the politics.  I freely admit I take part in it, but even though we are more laid back over here, stuff there happens that Troy would put a stop to in 5 minutes.

it's a good bunch of guys over there.  Well, except for one particular person it is.
