Hello, I am looking at building a 440. I want it to perform well but be able to be a streetable engine. I hear that for the price of a set of 906's plus to have new valves and everything done, You can buy a set of Edelbrock aluminum heads. What do you think?  Are the Edelbrock heads any good? I want to run a 6pack set up on it.  Thanks for looking
I'm smarter than I act, But I don't act smarter than I am.

The eddy RPM heads are good, but IMO there becomming old news, 440Source is coming out with a nice aluminum head that will easily flow 320-330 with some work, they have a Factory look too, the ticket is they will only be 900.00 complete vs. the 1350.00 that the RPMs are, i'm waiting myself for there arival in early 2008, you can also get a bare set for 600.00

If I were you I'd go with the eddy's or the new 440source heads.  As far as I can tell the new heads are new technology, or the best of the old regarding chamber shape, and you can bolt them on out of the box.
