.... Looking forward to seeing you in St. Louis this year Allen.

Me too.. I think I need to make it my New Year's resolution to attend Monster Mopar Weekend 2010...

Troy

Not to turn this into a MMW'10 thread, just a note that I am also planning on being there this year as well.

Good Luck on your car Allen, I hope to see it there.

I plan to attend MMW 2010 as well...  :yesnod:    SEE Y'ALL THERE!

As far as the latest distraction, Blue Thunder's restoration will press on... no matter who Joe sends to harass me.  Also, thanks for the supportive posts, PMs, and Emails...

On a more positive note, the wiring of my new storage building is nearing completion...

Yes, the wire straps (2) on the trunk floor extensions are attached on the AMD extension panels drivers side. I have a set here brand new, and they look great.

Why are there only 2? There should be 3.............

Troy

sorry chaps, typo there. Theer are 3 tabs. BTW, there are no jack mounts on them. You will need to attach those from your old extensions. Dunk

I received eight new photos from Greg in the last few days.  Below are photos of the inner quarter panel upper seam being heated to remove the epoxy coating prior to the tinning operation, the application of tin, the end result of the tinning and the application of lead.  Also included are the photos of the seam sealer application and the priming of the inner quarter panel leaded joints.

Greg has also apparently found warpage on the Dutchman panel like was found on Geno's Daytona:
QuoteThis evening as I was block sanding the Dutchman panel area, I discovered some warping on it most likely caused by the original plug install,  and some small dents that were previously unnoticed until sanding today.  Both are nearly complete and will be ready for paint tomorrow.

The next step is painting of the area between the sail panels prior to installation of the plug...

Have a Merry Christmas and a very Aero New Year!

Yeah... but you know what they say about lights at the end of tunnels... might be a freight train!  :eek2:

I am just enjoying another mild Texas Winter day like I did on Christmas Eve...  :P

I am glad that I put 100 miles on Scarlett yesterday instead of waiting until the one year anniversary on New Years Eve...

Woohoo Allen.....looking great! The colour looks amazing just from that one little area shot! How hard was it to get the dents out of the dutchman? Do you happen to know? My '69 has a nice dent right in the middle of the dutchman :brickwall:

I agree.  That 1969 version of Chrysler's B5 has to be one of the greatest colors ever sprayed on a car.

The large one was fairly easy from what Greg said, but I believe some small ones remain.  In this case they could all stay... part of Blue Thunder's Creative Industries' heritage...  Just as long as dents aren't visible when the car is assembled...
