My buddys B5 69 AC 500 was not from NJ since new. It sold new at E&E Equip in MO. Dave Patik said the type of antifreeze decal on the radiator support that suggested midwest when he seen the car. Then much later the charger 500 listed that car from that dealer from MO.Before that I had been tracking a past owners name. And found Dave S he found the car in Manahawkin NJ.And had it for sale in our local trading times.Which I sized it up for a daytona project but AC was a turn off.Anatol V bought it way back then. And later sold it.And thats how my friend got it.As far as doing a historical title search Mo and FL are the best the records go from dealer of origin to past owners.Old listings show on the top line a vin ending in 070 Metallic Blue AKA B5 4 speed from MO

Another contender... :2thumbs:  I remember seeing someone on a Mopar forum using that as a screen name... he had a `Cuda IIRC...

Thanks,

I think the number of known B5 blue cars is around 20, for some reason that number comes to mind. However I have no way to prove that as I only have information confirming 11 B5 blue cars.

I have no suggestions however on the naming of the car.

So are you trying to trace ownership further back? I would have figured you would be around the between the 3rd to 5th owner of the car, considering how long ago you bought it. Guess that is what happens when you assume huh?

I am trying to get as much documentation of the car as possible... something I should have done a long time ago!  Based on the Missouri title that I received when I purchased the car, the previous owner had bought the C500 in 1976 (date of first lien).  So I am at least the third owner of the car...

BTW, here is a long list of possible names... I have highlighted my favorites, many of which are spin-offs of posted suggestions (or the original suggestion):

MO-Blue

Aurora Blue

Thanks for the suggestions... decision by this weekend (I hope).

Of the 11 that you have information on... how many are 4 Speed cars originally?

How about just...Blue?

I had thought about "Old Blue" but decided it was too similar to my `Cuda's name "Ole Yeller".  Just "Blue" seems too plain... :shruggy: ...of course the name could be "Just Blue".  ;)

Thanks,

I kinda like the name, similar to GoManGo... would not be putting the group on the car though! :eek2:

'Blue B__ls'

It's blue and it's got a 440, so it has balls.

then, when it's done, you drive to a meet, park it out back, walk up to your friends and when they ask "What cha drive THIS time?" you answer "I've got Blue B__ls today."  :whistling:
