Received yesterday... a few pictures:

Return of the Charger 500 to Texas is planned to take place by the end of October... :cheers:

The car looks great, Allen!

Would love to see you and Blue Thunder in Alexander City, AL on the 24th... maybe they could deliver it there?? {hint hint}

  Allen, I have some spare time. You want me to go back to Monett to do some further searching for the car's history or are you satisfied with what you have found?

Thanks Gene, after the almost decade long start/stop restoration effort, Blue Thunder deserves to be seen for the first time at an event like that... so, I am making arrangements to get it there.  At this time it is unclear whether Jessica & I will be able to attend.  If so, it would be a last minute decision and a direct Fort Worth to Alexander City run in the SRT, while a good friend of mine from just down the street (Bill Hugill) would make the trek up HemiTyme's place to pick up the C500 and head out to Alexander City...  Blue Thunder would be riding in style and pure luxury, Bill and Angie will use their massive motor home / enclosed trailer combo.  They plan to use the motor home as their "room", so I need to be brought up to speed on what else will be needed (reservations, tickets, etc).

When I shipped a NOS Set of Wheel Opening Moldings for the C500, I apparently sent two right side moldings for the rear...

Hence, I noted "Getting Close" when I posted the pictures...  The rear side markers are to be installed after the tail stripe decal... BTW, the decal awaiting installation is the correct black version instead of a white one as I inadvertantly "photoshopped" on the large banner artwork.

Tantalisingly close  :drool5:

Even closer now... Ken is working minor "bugs" now, mostly vendor screw-ups or I having sent the wrong part years ago.

The plan is to have my friend Bill Hugill pick up the Charger 500 on Thursday to take it to the AeroCar Reunion, then home to Texas...

The plan is no more... Sorry!   My Charger 500 will not be at the Reunion, this hard decision was due to several factors... and, after talking it over with Ken & Bill, I pulled the plug on the last minute adventure.  Back to Ken delivering it to me by November 1st...  :cheers:
