After replacing the pan gasket on my 727 three times, i found that it was the Selector Shaft that was leaking  :slap:
Could someone tell me if Part # 8609 at rockauto.com is the right one for my 727?

My selector shaft had such a groove worn in it a new seal alone did not do it. I had to change the selector also.

thanks, but a Chrysler part# doesn't help me, i live in a foreign country, and i dont think that my local Chrysler dealer has the part.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Doesnt look like the 8609 is for a 727 though.......says A904.

I bought my seal from them a while back.  I know they used to have it
NAPA sells this one

727 and 904 use the same seal.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

just got a mail from rockauto telling me that they do not carry the correct part for my tranny, after i mailed them and asked.
Perhaps they don't know that the 904 and 727 seal are the same?
