What type of fasteners???

Here's a dumb one. What type/size fastener holds the steering box to the K-frame? If you tell me it's a hex head bolt I'll poop. I put a 1/2" socket on it and it was too small and a 9/16" is too big. What gives? I only messed with it for a minute before asking here. Are there just two bolts or three? I don't need ANOTHER specialty tool do I?   :brickwall:

Just 6T9 CHGR

Not too sure of the size but you need a 12 point socket to remove them.  A 6 point wont work.

There are 3 bolts

Yup -12 point bolts.  First time I'd seen one in my life.  most wrenches are 12 point on the boxed end if you don't have a 12 point socket.
