Hey there gang..
I'm trying to gather a collection of pictures at various angles of the underside of B-bodies that have gone through the factory OEM primer/overspray methodology of restoration. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have my '68 hemi Charger R/T at the shop now and they will begin work next week.

Thanks in advance..

You can either post them here or email me at:

Below is a pic I borrowed from Jet's page on his '69 Charger R/T's resto..

My Research says the primer was darker. There is a formula to get the color close. It was 2 Parts DP40 to 1 part DP90 or something like that. I got the info somewhere but not sure where. Also the inner Wheels wells will or should get under coated. LEON.

The pic here was before Jet did the under coating.. The primer I'm getting is like you said, it's the darker hue with a bluish tint from Dave Patick over at Performance Car Graphic.. This pic is just to illustrate technique.. Little shiny since it's new.
Thanks for the reply.....

Were framerails originally masked off for the undercoating?

??..........Did they do all fender wells in undercoating weather you got the undercoating package or not?

I don't believe they were taped off. I think the intention was to just do the wheel well and that's it, for all cars... I'll double check. I can't recall ever "NOT" seeing a car without the wheel wells undercoated....  I'll double check on my '70 Charger..  Good question........

I was thinking about maybe just undercoating the fender wells. Does anyone know if paint adhere to the undercoating after I do the wells?.........just a thought :shruggy:

I wouldn't think it would or if it did, it would stay very long... You sure you want to see body color in the wheel well once the wheels/tires get installed?
