Mint Original TUFF Wheel - WIW? - Not a reproduction

This wheel is in MINT original condition.

No cracked rubber, super soft grip, perfect black finish (not dyed), nothing cracked or missing, even where it attaches to the spokes. The rubber is also extremely tight to the ring-substrate beneath. (doesn't rotate if twisted) The horn button is the elevated style with the silver ring

Any idea of swap meet prices?

My friend has been trying to sell one comparable to that on Ebay....would only go as high as $250 or so.  He had a reserve of $595.

Now that the repros are out the originals aren't getting what they used to

last one I saw went to $1500 ( NOS one )

Used mint... I think last one I saw on $700-800 rate.

Now with repros ( GOOD ONES, NOT THE BAD ONES ) being sold by Frederick at ebay on $240 or so, I think market will be normallized

bad repros ( IMHO ) however better than Grant ones. Still bigger diameter than originals.

good repro, except for horn button, what maybe just need the silver paint around on groove, but wheel itself IS REALLY ACCURATE. Does look also right diameter.

Not to hijack the thread, but since were discussing these, I have a Question guys. What would it take to bolt one of these better repros, or an original tuff wheel to a 2nd gen steering column??

I got my original tuff wheel for free and it bolted right on.

Devil, I sold a near NOS on Ebay back in 2003 for $800.00 (it was NOS when I got it and only used it for five years).  For the time, I thought $250 was a whopping price to pay back in 1998. I was wondering what a near NOS is worth today. My guess is many people still want the OEM wheel and are willing to pay a premium for it - - over the nice reporoductions that are available.

Keep your thoughts coming...this is good!

So what's the big deal for the nice repop over the OEM tuff wheel....they appear identical in size and looks...or is it the feel of the material or just 'cause of the Pentastar 4 the #'s freaks...enlighten me 

I paid $175 with the adapter 4 mine..3 years ago...eBay...pretty nice.. no chunks..  tight grip

They are different in size and feel to the original.  Other then that, I guess people just want original stuff.

Whatever you say      I haven't had many people know the difference - more exactly NOBODY has come up and said "hey dude, that's a cheap repro".

I took off the cheaper Grant 860 to put on this 846.

hey don't missunderstood me, Is nice and for the price is nice, but I won't go for it... 15" and not accurated. I like 13" like original is ( or so ).

BTW GREAT DASH PAD !!! is a cap or custom pad ? I haven't seen the mag... where came from ?

Just Dashes is making them now.  Pretty cool for 2nd gens.
