Hello, I finally registered to this site. See what kind of help i can get on this question. I recently purchased a new edlebrock rpm performer intake and edlebrock carb for my 1969 charger 440 which is pretty much stock. my question is should i use the heat block-off plate on the valley pan or not.  what are the benefits/drawbacks. thanks for your help.

The benfits are better performance because of a cooler intake charge.  The drawbacks are a slightly slower warmup time if you are driving it in cold weather.  If you have the Eddy carb, it doesn't matter much because it will either be a manual or electric choke so go ahead and block it off.  :2thumbs:
