Should sealant be used when installing front windshield on 68-70 Charger?

Is any sealant supposed to be used with the front windshield gasket on a 68-70 Charger or B-body? What about in the lower corners?

supposedly, there was butyl tape used on the lower part of the windshield frame.  Lots of glass companies that replace the windshieds do not know about this and this is what seems to be causing the leaks with the windshields.

Yea I had a professional install mine and it leaked the first time I water tested it.Water came in thru the clip screws on the bottom and corners so I took off the trim and used the black Butyl and filled the space.Reinstalled the trim OK now.

3M makes a product called automotive bedding and glazing compound. I wouldn't expect mobile glass installers to have it on hand unless you were to request its use.
