Got a call to look at this '69 Runner

Well, they say word of mouth finds alot.. Well, this is what I found today.. This car was bought from the original owner and parked in the garage since 1977!!!

It has your typical b-body rear rust issues, but is a VERY complete car nonetheless.. I wish I had the funds to buy this, but I have other projects to complete.. Hopefully I'll find this nice 'Runner a nice and deserving home....

It's B7 Jamaica Blue with blue deluxe interior. I believe 'Runner's could get the upgraded interior. It has a/c, auto on the console, power steering, manual drum brakes and a 6-way seat. Just goes to show, these things are still sitting in garages around the country. The current owner found this this house hunting, believe it or not.. Went to check out the garage and voila, this 'Runner there.. Asked if it was for sale.. The rest is history... The interesting thing about this Runner is two things.. The turquoise motor, which totally looks to be original (No, I didn't crawl under the  car and check). The body ground to the back of the motor-to-firewall looks to never been removed and it's turquoise as well.. Another thing is the black push buttons on the outside door handles. I would think this wouldn't be a big deal if this was an early production car, but it's a Dec.03, '68 car, about half way through the model year...

Cool find.   :2thumbs:

I'm glad you're far away or I'd be going to see it.

I don't think too many Road Runners had A/C, but then again, I have no idea on production numbers. The blue dash pad looks good. I had a tough time finding a nice one years ago for my Satellite which has more cracks than I can believe.

Think he's going to be asking $9000 for it.... May be too high, may be right on for the right person.......

All Roadrunners for 1969 that came equipped with air conditioning also came with the base 330 horsepower non-Super Commando (or Roadrunner 335hp) engine. Which explains the turquoise color.

Sweet car!  :yesnod:

Whoever invented red heater hoses must be a billionare. I think every car at one time or another has had them.
