Does anyone know where I can find a complete set of rear window chrome moulding for a '70 charger?  Is there anyone remaking these yet?  Thx.

No reproduction. they come up on ebay now & then.

Maybe Mr. Mike Ross with BEA Parts would be interested in repoping the rear window chrome for 68-70 Chargers.  It'a a needed component and nobody is making it.

Aside from the fastback aero cars in '69, any 68-70 Dodge Charger's rear window chrome is interchangeable.

Thanks for the info guys.  Hopefully someone will start making these soon.

Hi

How do you remove the chrome around that rear window?  Without damaging it.
Besides: "Very Carefully"

You need a window trim tool! see pic

Hey, thats a neat tool.  How much do you want for the chrome trim by the way?? :icon_smile_big:  :icon_smile_big: ;)

I see the tool in your picture.  How do you use it and where do you get it?
Are there clips or something that you use the tool to release, or pry, or do something else?
The moulding is holding down the remnants of my vinyl roof.

Do you use the same tool to remove moulding in other locations around the roof perimeter and front window?
Also in your photo, there is a "Charger" emblem on the rear quarter of the roof.  How do I get it off without breaking it?

As a side note, Your photo shows your rear seat back.  My charger is a 1968.  The body color was a Maroon/Burgundy and the seats look a similar color to yours, unless the rear window is masking the true color, (not real red but not maroon).  What is the catalog color of your seats?  The main damage to the rear seat is the horizontal portion under the rear window.
The plastic moulding around the rear window is also fracturing.  Can that be replaced?

I don't know how to interpret my fender tag.  Below TRM it has C6R; Below PNT it has RR1; Below UBS it has R 9.  I hope these deals with the colors but I can't interpret it, to know where or what to get.  I hope you can help.

Thank you

John

John,
There's about 18 small clips that hold the trim on. you use the tool to pry the clip to the middle of the opening one at a time and the trim will pop off the glass. You can buy the tool at most auto stores. The tool also works on the front windshield trim.

To remove the Charger on the sides you must pull back the headline and remove two well-nuts.

The Red for 68 Legendary calls metallic red with metallic maroon pleats.

Trim for the inside of the rear window is available from Legendary and fits great but you must paint Aztec maroon to match!

Codes   C6R = Red,  RR1 = Burgundy Metallic,  R9 ??

I hope this helps! good luck with your car.
Pat
