Aftermarket Starters

I finaly got my replacement Jegs ProStarter: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_75384_-1. Last one I had, when putting it on, I guess it must have not been lined up right, and I didn't notice it, I was under the car, and the upper mounting ear broke. . So I sent it back, and they changed it out. Now I have the new one, and it doesn't seem to be fitting flush against the tran's bellhousing. Has anyone by any chance used one of these? I'd hate to try and get it to fit, and break this one too . My next step is to shell out a little more money, and get this: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_127132_-1 instead. I had this on my '69 with no problems with trying to install it, nor anything else, and it really turned that 440 over.

Well, went back out there, and well.... I got it on. It was just a bit of a pain in the >  to line up.


Just got a chance to check out the starters you listed links too. Nice. Wished I woul dhave seen the one at 440 Source along with that shield, but, as I said above, I finaly got this sucker on, and am not planning on taking it off any time soon, lol. Thanks though .



I'll have to keep in touch with this thread for when I go to turn the key, but I got a couple of other things to do first.
