MOPARHOUND!

Going to look at running '71 340.  Rebuilt, .030 over, in a beater 68 Coronet parked due to bad brakes.

Don't know much about small blocks.

What is a 340 worth nowadays?

Where do you find the numbers stamped on a small block?  Do they have a pad like the 383/440's?

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"

*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

Right of the block you'll find the numbers. No top pad like a 440 style. I have a '68 340 that I bought complete for under $800.00 Also bought a rebuilt '69 340 stroker for $2000.00 that I have since tweaked even more so. I've seen blocks along though go for about $250.00 to $500.00 on Craigslist and eBay recently. if it runs in a car to boot, start at a grand and see what guy selling car says.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.
