I picked up this MAJOR Mopar project this past weekend.  It's a late 20's (I think) Dodge Brothers Snow Conversion.  It included one track and both fenders and running boards.  The size of the differential is huge :o  The front still has the steel skis intact and has a tri-axle setup for the track to rotate around.  It also has the top retracting mechanism (although I'll probably enclose it to keep warm).  I'll have to re-build it from scratch.  It sure will be cool driving this thing through the fields and lakes some winter.  As some of you may know, Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies drove a Dodge Brothers Truck.  Do you think the final color should be rusty metal finish

Gotta Love Google!

Dodge brothers ended in 1927 with a sale to Chrysler.  So that 1935 truck is a little late.  the truck he has probably looked similar to this.

You know after looking at the A pillar maybe it was from 1929 to 1932 before Chrysler released a new design.  Man i would love to have one of these trucks with the long wheelbase.. :drool5:

While it is cool and interesting it may just be a cobbled mess of parts and pieces made into some kind of snow/all terrain vehicle. Might not have even been a Dodge Bros truck.
Its missing a very expensive and rare piece off the top of the radiator.

That is cool!  looks like a lot of work.  I bet parts are next to impossible to find.

I DO have a 331 Hemi that I was saving for my 58 Dodge Wagon.  Maybe I'll use it in  the Snow Conversion instead.  Here are some other early years truck converted to Snowmobiles (googled).

Yup.  It's just money and time.  I couldn't stand seeing that old Dodge Brothers sitting in a field rotting away.  It's further down on the priority list.  I picked it up on a farm just south of Lloydminster.  Can't go wrong for $75.

You're right, for 75 bucks you can't just let it die.  I wouldn't go the rusty look though, I'd follow a bit of a resto-hot rod theme with those old style Hemi suggestions at the heart of it all.

WOW  :o You are a brave man
Best of luck  :2thumbs:

Did you guys know that Pontiac made a pickup?  Check this out.

Until you get around to working on it, you should mount that radiator & cover on your garage wall...that thing's cool! :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Randall,
Might I suggest a trip to RMC on 50th street.....and their dipping vat!
They did a real nice job for me on my Charger.

Do you know of the collector in Calgary that collects Dodge Brothers vehicles? I sold him a vintage Dodge Brothers sign a couple of years ago.

Dont throw anything away. Even the wood. You will probably need every piece you have and pictures to custom make a few things to have a chance at getting it back into some kind of running order. This also may be a parts machine for someone else that has one that is more complete and in better shape. Either way you didnt get hurt on the price. Theres enough old Dodge stuff on there to get that back.
