JJJ Auto Salvage was a place in Chaparral New Mexico. Its a few miles from my house and I used to enjoy going there when I first for to El Paso. I talked to the owner in December after I got back from Korea and was looking to buy some stuff. Well my life got crazy and I didn't go back for a long time. I went back today to finally get the radiator support and fenderwall from a 1970 dodge coronet 500. I needed a replacement for my charger. I almost drove by the place because I was looking for the few hundred cars he had in the yard. They were mostly pre-1985 RWD vehicles. Anything from camaros, mustangs, the boats and barges of the 70's, trucks and a couple mopars (including a working 383). Parts up the wazoo and I even found some clifford performance parts for a Ford inline 6. One nice car was a 1971 Dodge charger with a great body and no rust. I wanted to get that car someday and make it into something fun. I had thought of those open road races and doing it like an early 70's nascar B-Body. Oh well guess that idea got crushed.

The yard is totally empty. All the cars and parts are gone. I can only imagine what happened. I bet the owner died or got sick and the family went into a crushing frenzy. We lost a lot of good parts from that place. Its pretty sad...
