Sorry for leaving you guys hanging.....I've been in Hawaii since the 10th. I will be home on Monday. I'll post up some updates then Nothing major but I got some stuff in the works...

Figured I'd post and touch base on what's on the burner. I posted right before I went to Hawaii at the beginning of January and completely forgot to come back and post what's going on. What I'm currently doing touches base with this topic:

My buddy challenged me to bring my Charger to our local big Mopar show in July. Since it's my last year being eligable to enter the Young Guns class (age restricitions), I figured why not. The Charger is at my grandparent's house in their garage. It's going to be hard to work in there but I'm getting it done. I spent a good amount of time cleaning stuff up in there and moving stuff around to have more room to work. I have about 3 feet in front of it, 2 feet on the passenger side and 5 feet on the driver's side. To do certain things I'm going to have to push it backwards to the garage door but it'll be worth it. It's a struggle though because my uncle lives with my grandparents and spends most of the time in the garage as his hang out area and a good portion of the shit in there is his.

I've been getting odds and ends together for the car, just random stuff that's either missing because it was never there or my dad "permantley borrowed it" for the Duster.   I also decided since I don't have the space or money to do a restoration on it, I want to get it running and drive it as-is. So that's where I'm at with it. I bought a coil, bracket and ballast resistor the other day, installed all new hose clamps etc. Been bolting stuff down that was never properly tightened....stuff like that. I'm also going to be getting a windshield installed next month as well as putting road worthy tires and wheels on it. I'm also going to re-do the brakes so it stops good (as of right now the brakes dont work). It probably won't be running for the Mopar show (it needs a driveshaft modded for the 383 and 8 1/4 rear end- unless I can find a decent priced local 8 3/4- fuel lines, fuel tank, go over wiring etc). This year's plan for now is to get it stopping and make it look presentable

Good deal Cody.  Make sure of one thing though, don't get it half assed together to meet the July challange this year and then stop.  By all means concentrate on it and get it to that show but then you need to take it off the road and complete the restoration.

I was going through my garage the other day and re-found some cool old paper work for my Charger. I figure I'd share it with you guys

Hey all-
So the car show I spoke about in the previous few posts took place yesterday. I am happy to say the CAR WAS THERE! This is the FIRST show the car has ever been to with me owning it (going on 16 years) and based on it's past history, I'm willing to be it's the first show it's ever been to period. Did a lot of work over the past 6 months here and there (30-45 mins) or so on my lunch breaks from work putting the car back together and making it more presentable. I reassembled the grille and installed it with the proper hardware, reinstalled the bumper with the proper hardware, took off the original bent front valance, painted my good valance to match the car, installed the park lights, changed all four wheels to the 5-slot mags I've picked up over the years, got my used good windshield dry installed by a friend who has a glass shop, installed misc trim that was missing off the car, new washer bucket etc just to make it look better Worked my ass off all day Friday and Saturday doing final things and loading the car up. Had a lot of help from my fiance, my grandpa and my good friends. Can't thank them enough for all the help. I also really want to thank everyone on here who helped donate parts over the years and those who gave me killer deals on parts over the past few months to make this show deadline happen. It was definitely a pain in the ass working in the small amount of space I had. I wasn't able to get the car running due to the lack of space but I made it look as complete as possible. It drew A LOT of attention at the show and I ended up getting 1ST PLACE (WOOOOO!!!) in the Under Construction Class!!!! I also ended up with 1st place in the Young Guns (21 & Under) with my Challenger and 2nd place in the 2008-present Challenger class. Anyways....enough blabbering, here's some pictures!!!



Got the car out into the driveway first thing Friday morning and started doing the final things (full clean- put the other two Slots on etc) and then loaded it up on the trailer Saturday evening.
