Saw an episode a couple of days ago that involved a 1971 Charger.
Seems the boyfriend, after being with the girlfriend for a month or two, helped her buy a 55 Ford that was in a junkyard.
The girlfriend looked sort of "Rockabilly" , the retro 50's look , with dyed black hair, red lipstick, tatoos, tortise shell glasses, etc.

They saw the 55 Ford in a junkyard, she liked it and talked about it afterwards.
He made a deal for $2500 for the car ,  $1300 in payments over time , and a down payment of his 71 charger [ credited for $1200 ] . She was never really involved in the negotiations w/ the junkyard owner.
So there's an extra 71 in a junkyard somewhere....

He said the charger was a "body" with no motor.  They never did show a picture of it, so i was disappointed.
She dumped him a few months later. Oh, and he wrenched a bunch on that 55 for her as well.

The judge chewed the ex-girlfriend out for accepting the Ford. "  just because someone offers you something that you know is too much , doesn't mean you have to take it"  .  The guy got awarded his $2500 back, but no Charger...
The guy was told he, " couldn't buy love, which is what it seemed like he was doing ".

Moral of the story - Don't get so infatuated with a new partner, that you'll give up a loyal charger for what they want instead..... :scratchchin:

Big Lebowski

Alot of junkyards sell the classic body only rollers out front. Pick a part just had a '68 Barracuda out front, I'm sure it's long gone.
"Let me explain something to you, um i am not Mr. Lebowski, you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the dude, so that's what you call me. That or his dudeness, or duder, or you know, el duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."

Already happened if it was the 1980s version of the show in a re-run.

But if you do, don't take the law into your own hands, you take 'em to court... The People's Court.
