I know the guy, used to share garage with him... and he is alittle out there.. Thats not his only project.. He is also building a boat... Ill try to find the link to his boat project...

The turbine is from a Tank.. Should put out some 500-550hp. Me and a friend actualy found a 440 engine for that Charger + a 727 tranny, but no, he went on and cut the car anyways to fit the turbine.. Some of you might remeber that I posted pics of this "project" at DC.com..

/Tom

Silver R/T

all the cutting for 500hp? theres better turbos out there that will power it and make it faster. I guess he wants to claim that hes got turbo out of tank? biggest turbo (physical size) doesnt mean biggest power

Not only that, I'm wondering how he will fit exhaust as that thing will be HOT.  :flame:

Like Silver said, why would you go threw all that work for only 500hp? Especially when you could have got the 440/727 that Tom and his friend found? Some people just march to the beat of a different drum I
guess.

I guess all that's left is the prestige of saying I built this '72 charger and look what's under the hood! Total amount of horsepower doesn't equal speed. Look at these new cars, 200 HP and yet their top speeds could blow by a Charger. Sure we have the torque but the speed....

I'll gladly witness that car run from behind a good pair of binoculars. :scope: :image_294343:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Charge It!

There is no Dynamat in the world that will keep that interior cool!

Will probably read about them scraping him off a rock wall someday because he forgot to figure out how to make it stop. Then again, maybe not with only 500 hp

Hope he's planning in a big fuel tank, those turbines are thirsty.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

SeattleCharger

Well, at least he's not putting the tank turret on the roof for the slow moving vehicles in the fast lane.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

AKcharger

Wonder if the guy finished this? here's all I could find

As mentioned, a neat side show exhibit but a simple crate hemi would have put out the same HP

I doubt he'll ever finish it, and if he does it wont go over 175. Therefore the title is safely in my hands  :boogie:

At only 500-550 hp it definitely won't be the "world's fastest '72 Charger".
Interesting indeed, but not my forte.
