Bought my 68 Charger with a 69 HP 440 and 4 speed for $700. The car needs a complete resto (lots-O-rust )and the motor is seized but it is a starting point.

sold a 74 cuda 360/4spd car for a friend of mine on ebay earlier this year.  in payment, he gave me a 73 roadrunner.

Back in 1985 , I found a '72 Challenger in the auto trader that was only about 175 miles from me listed for 1800.00.   It was a one-owner adult owned/driven car by a guy who worked as a parts manager at a Chrysler dealership. It had a 318 with a 3-Spd standard shift in the floor,no dents,,very mild rust in spots,,otherwise nice body and excellent interior,, I bought it for 1700.00 and it came with a trunkload of Mopar parts in the trunk,,air filters , ball joints, ecu's, oil filters , regulators,,etc ,,etc.
I sold it about 6 years later for 1800.00 and I still regret selling that car

So,,that was the best and worst mopar deals I ever made.
Unless you count the 68 Charger I bought for 2800.00 about 5 years ago and drove home, needed alot of work though

Here are my 2 best deals.  Complete original 1969 318 Charger for $100.  The other was picking up a 1970 956 Hemi radiator for $50.  Nowadays deals are much tougher to find.

Living in southern california throughout the 80's produced an endless bountiful of cheap rust free street raced beaters and many pristine cars too such as a mint 383 68 charger for $800. A beat but straight 70 se '500' with dana for $150. A 70 '500' 383 4 speed console car for $300.
and my B5 69 rt/se sunroof charger loaded, white int with ac, Shackles, chain steering wheel, cragars...air shocks..the works! For $500. in north hollywood. Previous owner had siliconed the sunroof shut so a quick trip to american sunroof provided me with the correct seal for $12.
Missed opps were a 70 6 pak cuda for $2k and a limelight superbird for $7k.

  I got a pretty rare '69 500 SE for around 10k.  #'s match, orig carb., orig 8-track, orig aero mouldings, rare orig window trim, etc...

My best deals were also my dumbest.  I bought my 71 Challenger 318 in 1985 for $600. Bought the 69 Charger 383 4spd in 1992 for $700.  Never even got to drive the Charger.  The Challenger was my high school daily driver.

Wish I had never sold them.

Best deal I ever got was probably buying back my ruff 72 rallye 400 magnum charger for $250 back in 1990. Then sinking a little more into it. Now its a great daily driver.
