I would say "YES".  Almost all of those are in decent shape and fairly priced.  HOwever this one:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973-DODGE-CHARGER-RED-ON-BLACK-318-V8-SE-COUPE-NICE_W0QQitemZ220139977917QQihZ012QQcategoryZ6199QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem, just can't take the hint and lower the price.  IT's been on for several months and not a single taker.

So if you are interested, then I would get the one that suites your taste the best.  I know that 72 Rallye is nice.

Theres some decent cars there.  These are the 2 that really stand out the most to me though.

i was really interested in that top one, the 74 with the white stripe, until I saw he said the charger had a #'s matching 360 in it. Um, MaMopar didnt offer the 360 in 1974 did they?

I would pay that for a BB original rallye. but not for 360 Rallye clone.

Change to Rallye Cluster: $250-350 for a clock cluster maybe with harness. You need also change harness or modify, what is not an easy job... not HARD but definitivelly not easy. and of course you need a 74 harness, not earlier.

Here is the 3rd gen board link, with old auction of that one:

do you like it more than the b5 72?
Quote

The B5 looks really nice, but the fact that its bubbling in the 1/4 seems like they did not do the car right before painting and there may be more then you can see.

The yellow one (not my favorite color for this car), but seems more original and a good base to work from

The mirrors, no. The door depressions actually have strobe decals in them, but most people just paint them black. I think they look better that way too. Hood has blackout, as does the rear of the trunk, like the yellow one. Grilles are originally silver and black, but most everybody just paints them flat black. Looks OK, but I like them original.

On that B3 Rallye, did anyone catch the original colours? Silver on blue. Pretty rare combo!

Yeah I caught that... as much as I like B3, that silver/blue combo would be pretty cool looking.

how much do you guys think this car is worth or a fair price for it?

http://64.17.169.186/inventory/73_Dodge_Charger_410.htm

would be great to us 3rd gens owners that worth, but not... $20K is just for a PERFECT ( talking about 73/74 only ), better if survivor 440 Rallye in my numbers, not for an SE 318. And still is hard to get that.

thsi is what I posted on another thread... and still think that:
Quote from: Nacho-RT74 on August 09, 2007, 12:50:04 PM
ok I'll try to post the GREAT CONDITIONS WIW cars I think are ACTUALLY fair on a 73/74... maybe just needing some TLC in some cases.
Everything depending of equipment of course
SB SE: 12-14K
BB SE: 13-15K
Hardtop SB ( Rallye ): 14-16K
Hardtop BB ( Rallye ): 16-18K

72s... about 25% more.
71s are another story.

I mean on TODAYS standarts... don't keep in the past with OOOOOOOOLD prices... you need to refresh guys, you are stuck on 2 years ago.

Of course also depending on equipment options, that could increase worth in some cases

All 3rd gens are worth between $500 and mybe $6000 done.... ::)

Sorry guys, just hoping the prices stay low for awhile, then jump in a few years when I gather a few more. But seriously, the price of 2nd gens and E-bodies has become so stupid, it's not an enjoyable hobby when you have to apply for second mortgages. Of course, we all want them to go up at the same time, kind of a catch 22, isn't it? I think just about ANY 3rd gen is a good deal right now, they seem to be gaining the most percentage wise....

72pettyblue

I can't believe the price of that 73.  It does not have the rallye cluster which is part of the rallye package.  No vin # stated which would let us know the real motor is came with.  The 72 is much nicer and with a 440 a lot more fun.  It is a no brainer for me.  Of course mine looks just like it without the vinyl top ;D so I may be Biased

10k tops and thats if its perfect

bad color combo + 318 kills value  :Twocents:

All 3rd gens are worth $6,000.00 done???

runninhorn

so what is a fair price for that 72 Blue Rallye? I am thinking of offering $15k cash.

jrust

This car company must be feeling a need for cash flow, I made inquires about this very car last year and was told 23.5 K period. At that time it was too rich for my blood, matter of fact I inquired about it again at the first of the year and was told that " the boss wasn't going to lower the price" so I lost interest and bought one in Dallas.

well he has an itch to sell it, offered it to me for $18,500, but im debating on offering $15k and seeing what he says. Think it's worth $15k?

jrust

Those guys sent me a whole cashe of pictures from the first inquire and from face value it seem to be a nice driver. I bought a 72 SE in Dallas for 14k and its a nice driver but, I've put 4k into it for headers, exhaust, transmission and motor mods. If I were to do it all again I would pay to have a survey done before dropping any cash on the deal. Good luck on your decision.
