Hey there..

this topic doesn't really belong on a dodgechargerforum but I thought i'd give it a shot..
I have recently bought a 1963 Plymouth Savoy 2-door Sedan, which I am gonna clone to a Max Wedge car;
does anyone have a source of technical information, detailed pictures, etc. for me to collect enough info and details to make the car correct?
I have a 1964 426 wedge engine with it and want to make this one correct..as it should be.

thanks for all the help,
Marcel, the Netherlands

There were a lot of subtle changes made to the Max Wedge cars, mostly in the engine compartment. Below is a pic of the engine compartment in my old '62 Max Wedge clone; the changes that can be seen are:

Brake line at MC curves back toward firewall to clear left exhaust manifold
Brake line across firewall loops up to clear right exhaust manifold
Voltage regulator is moved to center of firewall, the top bolt hole in the original location is used for engine ground strap
Heater hoses have molded elbow ends and special brackets to fender panel
New hole added on the drivers side firewall for the dual choke cable
Engine wire harness is moved to passenger side fender apron and new wire clips added

Not visible is the hood reinforcements which are removed in the center. On the underside of the floor pan extra parking brake cable guides are added.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Here's one that a good friend of mine built. PM me if you'd like me to put you in touch with him about it- the good, the bad, and the ugly of doing one- he's experienced it all!
