How many Charger's have you owned? If more than 1 what's the reason you sold the others?

Charger1973

7...   Sold the first when I joined the Army, the other 6 were in the last couple years.  I parted out 2 of those that were rusted beyond saving.  I sold 1 project car with a parts car in a package deal.  Then I gave one project car to my little brother, and kept the other (my 73).

1972Rallye

5...

1973 Charger Hardtop 318 auto - Red (sold to buy next one)
1973 Charger Coupe 360 auto - Brown (rusted to dust - cut it up)
1973 Charger Rallye Hardtop 360 auto - Super Blue (sold as parts car to buy the Bee)
1971 Charger Super Bee 383 auto - Hemi Orange (still have it)
1972 Charger Rallye Hardtop 440 4spd - Super Blue (still have it)

You might say I like 3rd Gens  :2thumbs:

:iagree: All of mine were 73s except one of the parts cars that was a 74.

twilt

25 of them.    23 third gens and 2 70`s. about 1/2 of them parts cars.

41husk

8+ I think? 1-1st gen 3- 2nd gens and 4-3rd gens + an 83 Charger if that counts? I still have two, sold the rest to finish other cars No wait 9 I had a 74 parts car I used to finish my 73.  Not as many as Travis, but I have had a decent stable.

1/2....... My Dad and I went in halves on a 74.   But check back in a couple of weeks.   :whistling:

My Dad has owned a few others over the years....2 - 70 Charger 500's and a 68 Charger.

Old Moparz

Only had 4 Chargers.

1 - 1968 that I currently have, bought it in 2003.
2 - 1969 #1 which was my first Mopar back in 1981.
3 - 1969 #2 that was a parts car for my current '68.
4 - 1970 also a parts car, but for my first '69 & drivable. Probably would've been considered an easy restoration by today's standards.   ::)

I want to see Travis attempt to list all of his and why he sold them. :D

I've owned three. In order of purchase:

1970 base model 383/auto -- sold because it needed resto and I had no money or garage.
1968 R/T no engine or trans. -- sold it back to the guy I bought it from.
1968 383/2bbl/4spd -- current project.

472 R/T SE

3
'72 w/ a 400, bought from the original owner.  It was a faithful daily driver for many years before I sold it cause my wife got a new truck so I got her rig.  I had four too many classic cars at the time one being the second Charger, a '70 R/T 4 gear I picked up.
I sold the '70 cause well...I couldn't physically drive it anymore.
The last one is my current one.  I've only sold rigs to get into something better most times or as in the past just accumulated too many.

Big Lebowski

  11 Chargers in all, 68-70's, mostly R/T's. Back in 1986-1990 I had a '68 R/T 4 speed, a '69 R/T 4 speed, and a '70 R/T 440 Six-pack Charger. I sold the '69 R/T 4 speed Charger minus drivetrain for $500 :brickwall: Those were the days.

70 Charger RT

SIX (for now)
1.  70 R/T Burnt Orange - I had when I was a kid (mid 70s) and shouldn't have sold it but needed the money to get my next car.
2.  70 500, B7 Blue 318 car - Again I had when I was a kid (mid 70s) and shouldn't have sold it but needed the money to get my next car.
3.  70 R/T Hemi Orange - I was going to keep it because it was a rotisserie resto but some guy came along in 2005 and offered me $$$$$$, so I sold it.  I used the money to buy land that I will be building a shop on so I can do more restorations.
4.  69 R/T SE, T5 Copper, I bought it in Dac 2006 in California, I still own it and I'm completing the restoration by spring and will be selling it in the spring to fund the construction of a shop.
5.  70 R/T, Alpine White, I'll be keeping this one as my brother bought it new and I took my road test on it when I was 16 in 1972.  It needs a total restoration.
6.  70 500, 383 car, Alpine White, I will be keeping it to use for parts and maybe I'll drop a 426 in it some day.

Aside from the ones I still own, there has been a few that left my grasp:

1969 Charger orginally a 383, auto, blue/black vinyl top, blue interior (was a parts car that got sold by the storage owner's brother who felt he "owned it"- In other words, it got swiped.  The storage owner was very po'ed that his brother did this to me and added in a bit of tough love for doing that).  The sad thing is that it had a 440 six pack and a 4-speed in place along with a mint grille.  I only paid $200 for it, but did take off $1000 worth of parts that were inside it before I lost it, so I don't feel so bad......

1970 Charger 500 SE, 383, auto, plum crazy purple, white top, white interior, AM-8 track (I at least still have that), but was rusted badly and needed engine/transmissio/wheels.  The storage owner friend got that one from me in trade for some parts I needed.....

1970 Charger 500, 318 parts car that I gave to a friend to repair his 69 (tornado damage).  I bought that one off of ebay for $700 because it had the doors to my 70 RT still on it (a long story how they got there, but they are now back on my car).....

All of the other project Chargers I have kept.......
