So where is everybodys cd players?

Well tonight I just got done putting a sony cd player where the orginal radio was and well it wasn't easy because I had only a big hand saw and some pliers, and well for amateur job looks pretty good lol.

I mounted the CD/stereo in the glovebox so the dash looks original.

Never though about this place, I did install mine below the dash (like most people do).

Don't missunderstood me, just that an unhacked cluster is becoming hard to find if you want to get back to original setup.

I really like that idea, and will go to that with the 68.  The 73 I just put in the dash in place of the stock stereo.  Theres nothing stock on that beast!

Ya well I don't plan on keeping my 73 original at all almost everything will be changed and it really won't look like a 73 after I'm done with it. But ya I know what you mean nacho but I got sick of having an older player where my 8 track was originally looked kinda bad.

I put my CD changer in my glovebox, the amp in the trunk and the receiver in the dash!!  Works great!

Well I didn't know what to use to hold it up there so all I used was the stock 8 track bracket and screwed the cd player to it and it holds up there great, but its odd because thats all thats holding it up there.

I just popped the sweet AM radio out, made my own wood faceplate and used the original holes with no modifications.  Everything can go back to original in a half hour.

Mine is sitting in the bottom of my closet.

I have a radio delete plate installed for now.

I listen to the exhaust.

My Charger came with a 8 track player when I bought it and was under the center of the dash with a bracket holding it there, so I took it out and now that bracket had some use out of it after all.

my cd player is in my 96 grand caravan dash right were it was when the van was built!!!! but my charger has a factory am/fm radio so i dont feel the need for anything more than that!

Mo Power, I did the exact same thing you did and I have never regretted it for a second. Plus, I put a CD changer under the driver's seat.

Ya I was going to put a 12 disc changer in it again but I found out my ipod can now broadcast my music wireless and now I have no need for it .

I have a few CD players. One in the living room. One in my shop and if I get bored enough I can pop a disc in my computer.

In this day and age, there is no excuse to be installing a cd changer in any automobile.  Get an Ipod or some other digital music player,and buy a deck that will allow that kind of playback.  no skipping, no carrying around a ton of cd's and 800 songs at your fingertips.  Unless you already bought the changer or deck, go with an ipod or something similar.

Sorry for the delay, I was out for couple of days. I don't have pic's of my radio below the dash, but did installed the radio inside the glove comparment as the picture shown above.
