Ok this sucks. The factory service manual sucks and looking at  the bumper & grill and removing about 2 dozen bolts and screws so far it seems like a big case of Catch 22. To get the grill out the bumper needs to come off. To get the bumper off the lower valence has to come off. To get the valence off the bumper has to come off. Enough already. If you have performed this feat already I am open to any hints , tips, or just something I am outright not seeing. HELP!

All you have to do is remove the 4 bolts off of the bumper extension.  When I removed mine I started removing every single bolt I can see.  Not very good.  If you remove the 4 bolts the grille will come off with the bumper

Four bolts hold the grill in place and removing them will allow the entire grill to come out of the bumper? Where are these sacred 4 bolts located? I have removed 5 from underneath and 4 from above with hardly a loosening of the bumper. Also, when you say "grill" are you talking center section only or the headlight doors as well?

You should be able to remove the whole bumper and grille in one pice.  If your under the front of the car you will see two big metal beams that the bumper attaches to.  Remove the bolts where it meets the bumper.

I see the ones your talking about. They look like 3/4" bolts. I will try this weekend when I have help. Thanks!

Yeah, those are the ones.  Make sure you spray lots of penetrating oil, because they are a bitch to take off and watch your knuckles.
