Notice the older styled font on the Dodge logo in the grille of the first one?  Someone needs to write a good history on the Mexican and South American Chrysler efforts.  There is a lot of interesting automotive info that is never heard about outside of there.

Really Curtis? I would love to own one of these. I like these more than the Aussie Chargers.

Allpar have a section dedicated to the outside USA Mopars. Mostly based on A bodies

I dunno, I think it's more if a Charger a Dart had kids.

Those things are AWESOME! Definitely unique, love the grill!

If I remember right, there is a foreign section of ebay where you can find these, I've seen a few on there before but that was a couple of years ago. LEON.

I will throw in some REALLY interesting Trivia, READY?

Remember when Ma Mopar sold off everything just to stay alive, way back in 1979-80? Well, VolksWagen bought all Chysler's assets in Brazil, and continued to make the Charger (dart), and a few other Dodge models. So for a few years, their Charger was made by VW.

Search on YOUTUBE for  3700GT      and Dodge GTX  for more Mopar's made elsewhere.

I love the hoods on these bad boys.  And yeah, looks like a Charger and Duster love child.

To me, these Dart/Charger R/Ts show tremendous creativity from these divisions.  All they had to work with are basic Darts, and they made a totally cool variation.  Headlights behind grilles, modified hoods, an awesome side stripe, modified rear window (flying buttresses)--this adds up to a very nice package.  They retained the authentic Mopar flavor.

Then they kept it going until WAY late!

Good job!

What I've always wondered was why so many people bring back or want to bring back the Austalian Chargers but nobody has or talks about bringing one of these South American Chargers/Mopars back to the U.S.A.? Anybody know why? Are the export/import rules stricter or more costly? If not somebody go for it? LEON. :scratchchin: :scratchchin: :scratchchin: :scratchchin: :shruggy: :Twocents:

I think language and trust issues from South American countries are to blame.
