How do you get the front windshield headliner clips back in?

I have just installed a headliner in my 70 Charger RT and I am trying to get the clips that fit near the top of the windshield channel back into place and they will not pop in!

What is the trick to getting them to pop back into place?

I just had to do this on Tuesday.  Very easy.  Do not play with the two long tabs that fit into the hole of the car.  There should be two smaller tabs that protrude on the back side (exposed after installation).  With a large flat screwdriver (or something similiar), pry the two small tabs away from eachother.  This will force the longer tabs to come closer together.  Install the clip into the hole and with a pair of thin pliers, squeeze the two small exposed tabs, which spreads apart the two long tabs, holding the clip in place.  All done!
