Guys , got a new condenser and new filter dryer and an now ready to finish the ac installment on my 72 Charger.  The condenser is an OEM style.  Question is    how much oil goes into the system and where should I put it.  On a GM they recommend about two ozs. in the cond, about two in the dryer and about 6 or 7 ozs. into the compressor prior to start up.  What is suggested for the Dodge. And where on the stock com;ressor should the oll be added,  the rear or the side port?   thanks.........

The service manual (you have one don't you?) shows how to fabricate a dipstick to check the oil level in the compressor.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I have a manual for a 73, I would think it would be the same as a 72. Just wondering if I should be trying to put some oil in some of the other components  instead of the total amount in the compressor. I am going with the 134 oil. Shall read up...thanks , John K
