motor is finally ready to re assemble , heads checked out great  , new pistons , new rods , new mr six pac cam

I'm guessing that you're driving to SL.
We're going to trailer our bird. That way I have lots of room in the truck for parts that may be purchased from the swap meet area. We'll unload at the track on Friday and drive back and forth to the hotel in the bird all weekend. I think a lot of people are planning to do it this way.
With the truck we can also carry several chairs, a couple of pop-ups and our big ice chest.

Now if we can keep school buses from running into the back of us on I-44 we'll be okay.
