I brew my own. I've got a few bottles of my Imperial Stout left, 3 years in the bottle, smooth as silk and 15% alc.

Bass is great but I've been a big fan of Newkie Brown. Check out Double Diamond as well, it's a burton ale and should be on the shelf right with the Newkie.

If I need a good lawnmower beer, it's usually Rolling Rock.

Overrated: Fosters "Australian for Budweiser".

You brew your own & you NAME it? I do believe you're serious about your beer!

Damn, I'm getting thirsty here & it's only 10:00 am...and I'm at WORK! :'(
I think a lunchtime trip to my favorite brew retreival zone may be in order. :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Nah, I didn't name this one. That's the style.

My wife names em.

Her favorite would be the batch we served up at our wedding reception.

I tried to make beer "once" & spent weeks & weeks adding yeast, bleeding valves, fermenting formaldehyde & doing as the instructions said, or so I thought, & was just a bit disappointed. Made something that thins paint instead.Through the whole kit in the trash & went to the beer distributor to buy beer. Less work, less disappointing & tasted way better.   ::)

Never heard that word, but judging from your tone, I suppose it's not good.  :icon_smile_big:

I had some home brew that blows away bottled beer, that's why I gave it a shot. Went camping with some friends, & one guy brought along one of the best beers I ever tasted. Something he makes regularly, but not a lot of it. I'd pay him to supply it, but that doesn't work so well.  :D

I only drink Alexander keith's or Big Rock's Grasshopper wheat ale. Don't know if you could get them down in the states though.

I stick to the microbrews for the most part.  Fat Tire and widmere hefeweizen are my long time favorites.  I only drink banquet beer (bud, miller, coors etc) if thats all there is and someone else is buying.

Wow, someone dug up an old thread of mine.  :D

I haven't had a Pabst in years & I couldn't even tell you the last time I had one. I like that pic with the train yard Todd, that's pretty cool.  :2thumbs:

Now I'm thirsty, but it's kind of late.  ::)

.....one I was drinking on a regular basis. Not only have gas prices gone up, but the beer I've been buying did too. I was getting "Bass Ale" 12 packs for $10.50 until several weeks ago. (Really good amber type, not too dark or bitter) Then one day I went to the register & the clerk says "$14.50 please." I asked "Are you sure? The price on the shelf was $4.00 less." She checked, charged me the lower price, & off I went. Sure enough, the next time I went in, it was marked $14.50. Roughly a 40% increase in one shot. I spent some time looking over the shelves & found one called "Newcastle Brown Ale" for $11.00 or so, & decided to try it. As Charger Fan would say, MMMMMM, Beer! It was good, & maybe even slightly better than Bass Ale. Both are from England, but I don't drink them warm.

I wonder if the price increase it permanent or just until the hurricane season is over?
