The gray skies all this summer have been a hot topic out on the streets here and I've been looking up weather reports to get an idea of what to expect at the Eureka charger registry meet later this week and i'm finding out via google that this is a very unusual summer across the nation.

Now here in the bay area it's been really cool record low temps in fact, every day here in my area has been cloudy and overcast with temps in the low '60s, all of july was like this as well, far more typical of march or april then july august...

Because we usually warm up after mid june here in fact the last ten years the weather has been on average 5 degrees warmer with several days breaking into the mid '90s here at the coastand a few days in the 100s, i have experienced a half century now of our local weather and when i was a kid, infact well intill the late 1990s, breaking 80  here was extremely rare...
I read of a tornado in New York last week and record rains in Fla.

I'm just curious as to what's going on in your neck of the woods...

(no global warming stuff please)

It has been pretty warm around my parts (San Diego).

Not much rain here in fly-over-land.

It's HOT. Typical Ohio August - over 90 and sometimes over 100 for the last 16 days straight. It should cool off a bit near the end of the week right after a few days of thunderstorms. This is what I think of as our "summer" and the two weeks of below teen temperatures in January/February are our "winter". The rest is spring and fall. I don't think we have gotten a huge amount of rain this year but we still have a good amount of time to catch up. Storms around here can dump an inch or two in hours.

It has been really warm and dry here.  Rain keeps goin around us or doesn't make it.

It's been hot and muggy here in rhode island for the past 2 months straight.  Pretty much 90's everyday with humidity at 80-100%.  I really can't wait for fall.  It's the best time of year.  Oh, and the women are ugly here.  I bet there all hot in Cali

Well, I've been home now [northern Idaho] for about 2 weeks. The first week temps were up in the low 90's, cooling to the mid 60's overnight. This week, we've dropped about 10 degrees, Mid  80's day/mid 50's overnight. The problem we're having up here is the lack of rain. Many forest fires going on up in this region. It seems that when they get one under control, another one starts.  :rotz:
We could use a good soaking rain right about now............ :yesnod:

Been a different summer here. Usually we have several days of 90+ but this year it's only gotten over 90 once or twice that I can recall. Many days of clouds and some rain. Fine with me, I like it cool.

It's been weird around here ("The Valley" in SoCal). It's usually scorching hot (100's) pretty much from the middle of July till late August/Mid September...but we've only actually hit 100 only a couple of days so far this summer...the last 3 or 4 days and today included. Otherwise...mostly mid-80's to mid 90's. I guess you could say that its been unreasonably reasonable.

You're absolutely right. I think Texas and Louisiana got all the rain this year. :icon_smile_dissapprove:

We farm here in WI and it has been a very tough year for crops.  It is surprising how well they have done but they are really beginning to suffer now.  There are people chopping corn silage already because there corn is almost dead.  Normally we don't take corn silage until late september early august.  Some places the crops are completely done and the farmers are collecting insurance.  I'll try to get some pictures of the crops to show you guys.

It's been very hot and humid here in PA. And we have had a lot of severe thunderstorms. Mostly on Weds nights. :shruggy: But it's a little cooler today and no humidity.

my73charger

Hot and dry in northern Minnesota pretty much all summer.

Charger_Fan

Last month, we had something like 23 dry days that were all above 100º, then it rained for about a week. Now I think they said we've had 12 dry days above 100º so far this month.

I love it!! :woohoo: :boogie:

Dry and hot as hell. Its been in the mid 90's to mid 100's here for the last week and a half and we haven't had any measureable rain in 3-4 weeks.

North Alabama, 8th consecutive day in the triple digits! It's hot and Humid, OH YEAH it's AUGUST in the SOUTH!

NHCharger

Temps have been average to a little below up here in New Hampshire.
It seems like we don't get normal rain storms anymore. It either drizzles all day or rains so hard we get flash flood warnings, we've had two 100 year storms that caused flooding in the past two years.

:flame: 102 today here in the capitol of Kansas. We had 100 year floods in May and June in half of Kansas and had lower temps than normal. We had 20 inches of rain in May 6 in June and maybe an inch or two since than. So it finally dried out and we are frying. Typical Kansas all or none ...well we had both in the last 4 months. We had a late snow here in April too. The heat will be gone soon and then we will be freezing again. I would rather throw another log on the fire than sweat to death. The worst news is I have slowed up on the Charger somewhat. As soon the garage gets under 90 again I will resume. :buff:

I feel your pain.  Once its over 90 I have no "Charger" time.  I'll rather throw a log on the fire than sweat to death
