My daughter Kate says Tennessee.

I've seen rocks in a lot of states, so I have no idea.   :shruggy:

What made you go rock hunting on vacation? Are you a geologist?  :D

We have a winner!

The rocks are the famous ROCK CITY in Kansas.

And the long road pic is looking due east away from the geographic center of the United States...

Another famous Kansas Landmark that I got to enjoy on our trip  :2thumbs:

Yes kids,  It is THE WORLD'S BIGGEST BALL OF TWINE !!!

Todd, I thought of you when we were in Kansas ! Especially when we saw these:

That Boom truck is a wild lookin' critter. I'm not sure I've ever seen a truck that old with an extended cab before  :shruggy:

Dammit! I guess we'll have to come back to Kansas and make it up to you guys...I really don't want to piss off the "Mafia"  ;)

On a serious note:  There really is a lot to see in Kansas. Most people just think of it as a flat wasteland, that might be true if you stick to the interstate and blast through it, but get off of the beaten path and there is a LOT to see!

I could have spent a week at the Space center alone !

if you ever go through the southeast portion of the state

a. look me up
and
b. stop in and see the coal mining museum in west mineral and see big brutus (very massive electric shovel)
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

JrJohnston

You should have stopped in Frontnac Ks. There is a MOPAR only salvage yard there,if he is still open.

Just curious, but isn't the spot in Kansas the geographic center of the continental USA? Which excludes Hawaii, and Alaska right? Because if you include those doesn't the georgaphic center shift to somwhere in SD?

Charger_Fan

There's a roof over the world's largest ball of twine. :smilielol:
Those old IH's are too cool!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Daytona R/T SE

For all of you who have PM'ed me about the IH trucks and their location...( and there were a few of you ;))

Contact Todd...he has the location and as far as I'm concerned first shot at those trucks...
