Would this carb be worth a hoot after 30 years on the shelf?

"We just purchased a large inventory of antique remanufactured Carburetors. This auction is for one Carter BBD 2BBL Carburetor that is the correct Carb for 1968 1969 Dodge Charger Coronet Plymouth Fury Road Runner and Satellite models with 383 CID 2bbl engines. These were completely rebuilt and remanufactured back in the 70's and early 80's and were lost in their warehouse for many years until recent discovery. Fortunately they were stored in a dry heated building so time has not damaged them at all."

I'd probably want fresh gaskets and so forth in one personally.

Yea, I might as well rebuild the one I have. I just don't see those non-metal parts holding up too well over that much time regardless of the storage conditions.

I would not be afraid  to try one.  I have taken old Solex carbs for VW's that have been hangin on nail for more than twenty years and knocked  the mud dobbers mud hut out and they started right up and ran fine.   If it don't act right, then , the gaskets are softened up enough to go check out the insides.  A new kit may or may not be required.
