Burnt Up Pink Wire,Accessory,Map Light,Cig. Lighter?

I have a 71 Charger,and in the dash harness,behind the lower drivers side kick panel,there is a pink wire,(1 of 2 on that plug,in the same place),that is burned most of the way up into the dash.This connects to the rear harness.The other pink wire it is mated with is not burned at all.When the dash and rear harness are connected,the spot on the plug where the 2 pink wires are,turn into a grey wire on the rear harness.If it helps,on the dash side of the harness,where the 2 pink wires are,there is a white wire with a black tracer to the left of it,and a dark brown wire to the right of it.Sorry for making it sound so complicated,but it is exactly as I described.The 2 pink wires connect at the same place on the plug from the factory,and are not spliced by some "hillbilly"so to speak.Bumper to bumper,I cannot find any other burnt wires.Anyone have an idea what these pink wires run to,or what accessories,etc.Thanks for any help.

Pink wire is a direct source from batt and comes from a fuse on batt side of fusebox. that wire feeds the trunk light ( thats' why runs up to rear harness ) and on that area is spliced also from dome light plug. That "net" also feeds brakes and hazzards. The fuse is the second one from bottom ( number 3 ) on batt side of fuse box.

next fuse below what also use a pink wire to feed other parts of the system feeds ashtray, glovebox lamp and any stuff on batt source you plugs that needs direct batt, like map light, key in courtesy light. Also some function of headlight switch
