i have a 72 charger that had rear defrost  and im trying to put it back togeather (someone was using it for a parts car)  i got the vent/blower/and hose  but i dont know where the blower mounts or how   anyone got some detailed pics showing this set up?  also where does the switch mount and what does it look lioke (its mia.)   thanks  ralph  challengerbabe@aol.com

The blower mounts on the passenger side (looks like a speaker hole) and the vent obviously goes in the middle area, the hose connects the two.  The switch mounts on the left side of the steering column under the dash, its the same switch as the air grabber switch but with a different bezel.  I have a switch for sale but its not in good shape, check my parts for sale post in the classifieds to see a picture.

Um no, the switch is not the same as the A/G switch ( believe me, we N96 owners wish that were true)  the bracket/light pod that the switch attaches to are the same.

Mine has one but am contemplating putting it back on since it will hinder a two speaker system  :-\

I always heard they were, I was wrong then.   Just out of curiosity, what is different between them?

Matt, here is 2 pics. 1st one is a bare repro A/G switch. The other pics are of the switch assembly consisting of the switch, the bracket (same as rear defog) and the A/G bezel.  A/G switch is a vacuum switch, defrost switch is an electrical switch.

They do look alot like when mounted but obviously not the same.  Good to know.  Of course I doubt if I'll ever get to own an N96 car...  :pity:

Allen Wilson , who does many reproduction N96 parts, will make a functioning air grabber switch from a rear defrost switch, I hope to have him do one for me.

that adaptor is a repro one from the originals, perfect one BTW, at least what pics says. The originals were just an option on A and C bodies on 60s car, and then E and C bodies on 70s

Although I have not installed mine yet, I called PG first, and they assured me that it would fit a B body.

the speakers holes are the same on all Mopars so should it fit. Diagrams show that should be used a bracket on rear to support the weight that I don't know where exactly should be attached. I know somebody tried to mount on a 2nd gen and got some problem, like with the rear deck panel joint lip area. Dunno also if you get some problem with trunk lid spring rods.

I got in my trunk today and looked at my blower and the brackets I bought from PG. I'm not installing mine yet because I still haven't bought my speakers, but it appears to me that the brackets will be a direct bolt on/screw on. Hope this helps.

Pics will be great, specially about the rear attachment

Does anyone have a pic of where the tubes to the rear heater connect to the heater hoses under the hood? What type of fitting or connector do I need to reattach the tubes to the hoses? Also, I could use a pic of the rear heater controls that are located on the dash. Thanks.
