My car does not run good in hot weather or when its being driven for a long time. It idles low and sometimes it dies. It has a mild cam(I think thats important). I think that its just that the idle speed is too low, but I need an opinion from someone who knows what they are talking about. :smilie_help:

The only way to find out what's wrong is to drain the radiator and check the lower and upper radiator hose.  Sometimes if the lower hose is weak it will collapse shut cutting off the cooling to your motor.  There is a spring in the hose that usually collects alot of rust.  Try that first.  It wouldn't hurt just to replace them.

Then I would check the thermostat.  If you still have a problem then I would check the cooling fan.  Does the fan have a clutch?
