How hard &/or guaranteed is trying to modify a stock torque converter to a higher stall ? and how much do you pay for that up there ?

I know everything depends of techs, but wish to hear opinions.... probably I would pay half of what you pay up there.

I have spoken with many converter companies and they tell me that to modify a stock converter you manly just change the pitch of the fins. When you do that, you take away the converter's efficiency. I had one custom made and love it. I know a friend of mine runs the Mopar Performance high stall converter for around $250 US. Its around 2800 rpm stall and he likes it. You might just try to buy another one and have confidence that it will work as it was built in the first place. Check with others here also.
If it ain't wide open; it ain't running.        Rule number one in motocross racing: Pin it; row the gear box; and wait until you hit something.     At work my motto is: If you need me, call someone else.
