Has anyone used the newer Power Steering and Brake fluids in their car??
Just wondering if we Can we use the newer fluids???   I heard this wasn't a problem.

What do you mean by newer power steering fluid?  Did they change the formula? :shruggy:

As for the brake fluid, DOT 3 and DOT 4 are compatible.  DOT 5 is not and can not be interchanged with either 3 or 4.  I have heard that DOT 5 can make some original rubber seals swell and cause failures.  A brake place also told me that if DOT 3 or 4 gets sucked into the engine from a bad power brake booster, it will not harm your engine that much.  However, DOT 5 will ruin your internal parts of your engine.

For me, if it was good enough for them to use in 1969, it is good enough for my same year car. :yesnod:
