sad, sad, sad....why do you put a beautiful piece of automotive engineering in a leaky time capsule? or, why didn't they at least check on the car after they had the water main breakage back in the 80's?

I think the damage was probably well underway a decade or so before that happened.

It a magazine I read that damned if I can remember the name it stated that at one point, the thought of trying to open the crypt up early and replacing the car in there with a brand new restored one in secret but the idea was quickly shot down.
