Deep Oil pan question, Belch

  I bought a deep oil pan off E-stuipd. Was told it holds 7 quarts. Dumped in 7 quarts and by stock dipstick after pre oiling could barely see any oil on the stick. Took 2 more quarts to get it to full on the stick.

Should I go by the stock stick when dumping in the dead in dinosarur's into the crank case? Or just the 7 quarts? Neer seen a dipstick (Ok my bother inlaw) made for a deep slump pan.

i have always went by the dip stick because it's position hasn't changed from the factory and they knew just how far the oil level should be from the crank or bottom of the engine. only the deept of the pan has changed.
